All blades are done on a slow speed, water cooled (when necessary) belt sander at 220 grit (default) using a jig. This yields a crisp, clean cutting edge at precise angles with no temper damage. 

• • Plain edge knives (Non-Kitchen) icon_info icon – $2/inch, $15 min.  Reprofile work is $1.50/inch.
  • Plain edge knives (Kitchen) icon_info icon – $3/inch, $10 min w/ a $20 max.  Includes all repair/reprofile work as needed. Serrated kitchen knives fall in the category listed below.
  • Serrated/partially serrated knives (Includes Kitchen and Non-Kitchen) icon_info icon – $5/inch, $20 min w/ $30 max. Includes all repair/reprofile work as needed. 
• Double-edged knives/daggers – same as plain edge price above (but per edge min applies). Please note these will be sharpened on machine only.
• Straight Razors – We do not sharpen straight razors
• Machetes – Excludes high dollar fixed blades in which case normal sharpening prices above apply. Normally blades over 10″ long. $1.50/inch to match the existing angle, to clean up or reprofile add $1/inch.
• Swords – We do not sharpen swords.
• Hatchets/Axes – $15/edge unless repairing the edge is necessary (if so call for a quote)
• Scissors (for general household/industrial use – we do not sharpen salon shears) – $8 ea (depending on condition of the scissors)
• Surgical Shears & Surgical Scissors (typically for veterinary purposes) – $8/ each 
• Lawn Mower Blades – We do not sharpen lawn mower blades.
• Garden tools – We do not sharpen garden tools.
• Chisels – $8/chisel and this will have 220 grit working edge. Includes repair/reprofile work.
